Our No Rinse Sanitiser is a sanitiser, it was not developed as a disinfectant. While there are differences and similarities between the two, one key similarity is that our sanitiser’s active ingredient is often also found in Hospital Grade Disinfectants.
Both products contain Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (QACs), a common ingredient in Hospital Grade Disinfectants, but they are used differently.
We use No Rinse Sanitiser at a minimal rate to control microbe populations on surfaces. It is formulated to be safe for humans who consume food prepared on surfaces where the sanitiser has not been rinsed away. We apply our Sanitiser at a low rate of 200 parts per million to control microbes on already cleaned surfaces.
In contrast, Hospital Grade Disinfectants are used at a much higher QAC concentration of 4,000 parts per million or more to clean and sterilise dirty surfaces, which must be rinsed after use.”
