Earth Renewable No Rinse Sanitiser is safe to use on children’s toys, (either soft or hard toy surfaces) within a child education centre setting.

When used at the recommended dilution, the product is evaluated for formula and concentration to be safe for human contact by the NSF organisation. (International Food Standards Body). It is the combination of chemical and process that will define the true risk.

Procedure within a child education centre setting.

The procedure recommended for toy washing is a 2 step process for toy hygiene maintenance including regular washing and sanitising. Wash toys at least twice per week in a manner that is suitable for the type of toys.  Dishwasher preferred but other types of wash if toy construction is not appropriate to using the dishwasher.
Spray or dip toys with the no rinse sanitiser solution and left to air dry.
What will be the residual effect of the sanitiser on toys if compounded by regular sanitizing without rinsing?
You have raised an interesting question about repeated sanitising with No Rinse Sanitiser. In theory, repeated sanitising without washing would present a scenario where the concentration of quaternary ammonium compounds might increase. Over time this may degrade the surface of the toy depending on the material (hard plastic / timber or fabric)
